Switching tasks at work comes at a significant cost.

Research suggests that context switching can consume up to 40% of our productive time, leading to a loss in efficiency and making it harder for employees to stay engaged. The solution lies in fostering an environment that promotes deep, uninterrupted work, allowing team members to concentrate on more meaningful tasks. To visually communicate this concept, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented team at Red Havas in London to animate a 2D explainer video for Citrix. My role involved animating the full video to show the impact of task switching on productivity and how minimising distractions can lead to better-focused work. Through clear visuals and engaging animation, the video underscored the importance of fostering an efficient workplace environment, making the case for tools and strategies that support concentrated, uninterrupted work.
